Women's Mead Making Ceremony
Honoring the Goddess Freya

This is a Ceremonial Workshop & is the launch of our Series of Herbal Alchemy Ceremonial Workshops we will be offering through our Women's Plant Spirit Medicine Church.

Details: Learn how to make Mead the way we women have been doing for centuries... in ceremony together! Join us in A Women's Ceremony honouring the Nordic Goddess of Love & Fertility, Freya. We will sing some songs to invoke the Goddess Freya & we will drum & dance for Freya to infuse her blessings into the Organic Mead we will be making together. This recipe uses aphrodisiac herbs & fruits that are sacred to Freya & the recipe will be shared with our sisters who register to attend this magical ceremony.

Ceremony Date:  Friday, July 26th

Arrival Time: 6:30pm

Ceremony Time: 7- 8:30pm

Sharing Circle w/Tea & Organic Snacks: 8:30-9:30pm

Location: Ceu das Sereias Temple in Gibsons, BC, (Private Venue shared with our registered guests)

Includes:

 

  • A gift of 1 Bottle of the Organic Mead we will be making in our ceremony together

  • optional short and sweet ceremonies to follow  when we rack the Mead (scroll down for mor info below)

  • When our batch of mead is ready we will have another ceremony honoring the goddess Freya and we will commune with our mead in ceremony together and of course we will share it with Freya in Gratitude for her blessings and love which are infused within our magical  mead.

Registration: Space is limited. This will be a small intimate ceremony held in our Temple space. To secure your spot please send your donation ASAP. The suggested donation is $111 & includes a gift of 1 bottle of Organic Mead (Details above)

Intake: This Workshop is offered to our New Earth Society Members. It only costs $1- to become a member. Please feel welcome to contact us to learn more about membership. Once you register for our workshop, if you are not a member we are happy to send you the form so you can sign up.

We are offering this ceremony at the lowest rate possible. We are making a large batch of mead together. It takes 22 lbs of raw organic local honey. In addition, we are also adding organic fruit spices and herbs which are sacred to the Goddess Freya. 

​

Each woman will receive one bottle of our organic Mead that we make together once the mead has aged. We will bottle and label the mead for everyone. And we are happy to do the bottling together in ceremony as well if there's enough interest.

​

We are also including optional short and sweet ceremonies to follow  when we rack the Mead. Racking is a process of straining the mead from one vessel to another and leaving just the sediment at the bottom each time. Some Mead requires more racking than others. You will learn all of this in our Workshop and more.

 

You will leave with the knowledge of how to craft a beautiful batch of mead and how to prepare mead in a ceremonial way.
